Privacy Policy

TangiSoft (“we”, “us”) operates TangiSoft Accounts, an identity- and membership-verification service for websites and apps that TangiSoft hosts for content creators (each a “connected app”). This policy explains what we access when you sign in through TangiSoft Accounts, why, and how it is handled. Using the service means you agree to this policy.

1. What we access, and why

We only request access when you choose to sign in, and only for what verification requires:

• Google / YouTube(when you sign in with Google): your name, email address, Google account identifier, and your YouTube channel ID and title. If you are a creator who explicitly connects your channel, we additionally access your channel’s membership levels and Super Chat events — and, only where a feature is enabled and separately authorized, your channel’s membership list — so your own site can offer members-only features.
• Discord (when you sign in with Discord): your Discord user ID, username, email address, and your roles within the specific community server you are signing in to.

We use this information solely to verify who you are and whether you are a member of the relevant creator’s community, and to pass that verified result to the connected app you chose to sign in to. We do not use it for advertising, and we never sell it.

2. What we store

• Viewer sign-ins are online-only. We read the details above at the moment of sign-in and do not retain access tokens. We keep a minimal verification log (which app, a timestamp, and the outcome) for security and troubleshooting.
• Creator connections. If you are a creator and you connect your channel, we store a single encrypted credential (a refresh token) so your site can read your membership / Super Chat data on your behalf. It is kept until you disconnect or we revoke it, and it is encrypted at rest.
• Short-lived codes. To complete the sign-in handshake we hold a one-time authorization code that expires within minutes.

3. Who we share it with

We share your verified profile only with the specific connected app you chose to sign in to. We rely on Google and Discord as identity providers to authenticate you. We do not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.

4. YouTube API Services & Google user data

TangiSoft Accounts uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Information obtained through Google APIs is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google/YouTube data only to provide and improve the verification features described above; we do not transfer it to others except to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger with prior notice; we do not use it for advertising; and no humans read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law.

5. Retention & deletion

Verification logs are retained only as long as needed for security and are periodically purged. Creator credentials are deleted when you disconnect. You may request deletion of data associated with you at any time by contacting us.

6. Revoking access

• Google/YouTube: remove TangiSoft Accounts at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Discord: User Settings → Authorizations (Authorized Apps) → revoke.
• Creators can disconnect a channel at any time, which deletes the stored credential. You can also email us at contact@tangisoft.com.

7. Security

All traffic is served over TLS. Stored creator credentials are encrypted at rest, and client secrets are stored only as salted hashes. Access to the service’s systems is restricted.

8. Children

TangiSoft Accounts is not directed to children who do not meet the minimum age required by Google, YouTube, or Discord in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the connected app.
